Once a man was walking along a beach. The sun was shining and it was a beautiful day. Off in the distance he could see a person going back and forth between the surf's edge and and the beach. Back and forth this person went. As the man approached he could see that there were hundreds of starfish stranded on the sand as the result of the natural action of the tide.
The man was stuck by the the apparent futility of the task. There were far too many starfish. Many of them were sure to perish. As he approached the person continued the task of picking up starfish one by one and throwing them into the surf.
As he came up to the person he said, "You must be crazy. There are thousands of miles of beach covered with starfish. You can't possibly make a difference." The person looked at the man. He then stooped down and pick up one more starfish and threw it back into the ocean. He turned back to the man and said, "It sure made a difference to that one!"
If I can help one unborn child from abortion then it is all worth it!! Let me tell you what I am thinking. I am proposing to trade MY LIFE, which I value dearly, for the life of one, yes ONE, who would otherwise be terminated through the barbaric act of abortion!! Sound crazy?? To some it may. I view all of us as God's children and we all have the right to life. My life, in God's eyes, is no more precious than that of an unborn child. There have been many lives sacrificed in battle to save the life of others. I feel that this is a war worth fighting!! Who knows what that one child, who is saved, is capable of doing.
My Goal is to get people to really think about what they are doing in regards to abortion. I believe that we all are God's children, therefore, we belong to him. As parents, we are only stewards of his children they do not belong to us. Many will argue that it is their body and they can do what they please with it. An unborn child is not part of the mother's body. The mother is the means for the child to get to this earth with a body. Mothers and fathers have a responsibility to love and raise their children, not terminate them when it is inconvenient. Granted, there are cases when abortions are justified, such as rape, incest or the mother's life is in danger. Even then, it should only be done after consulting with medical and mental health professionals to ensure proper care is given to the mother. Unfortunately, abortion has become just another form of birth control, another way to avoid responsibility for one's actions. There are more than 40 million abortions performed worldwide each year. That is more than all the soldiers killed in world war I (9,720,453), world war II (25,273,700), and the U.S. civil war (203,000) combined. Each of those wars lasted years, yet more than 40 million innocent children die EACH YEAR!! Societies cry murder when one or many innocent civilians die from an attack on a military facility. There are many who berate the war on terror in Iraq and Afghanistan because their sons and daughters are dying. They at least are able to fight for their right to live. We have passed laws in this country legalizing infanticide. Many say the war in Iraq is Illegal, yet we legalize shedding the blood of innocent, helpless children. Here are some statistics from PRO-ABORTION organizations:

WORLDWIDE
Number of abortions per year: Approximately 42 Million
Number of abortions per day: Approximately 115,000
Why women have abortions
1% of all abortions occur because of rape or incest; 6% of abortions occur because of potential health problems regarding either the mother or child, and 93% of all abortions occur for social reasons (i.e. the child is unwanted or inconvenient).

As you can see, 93% of abortions are done because the child is unwanted or inconvenient.
How many of you would like to be evicted out of your home or apartment when you did nothing to warrant that punishment. You signed the lease and did not break it, but the management or the bank didn't like you so they evicted you. That is abortion, eviction without justification!! You make a choice when you decide to have sexual intercourse, you do not get to choose the consequences of your choices. One of those consequences is the possibility of pregnancy, which falls squarely on the shoulders of both involved. Once you make a choice...YOU CANNOT UNCHOOSE!
